A progress update on Lloyds Living properties at Ladden Garden Village, Bristol

It’s a year this month since Lloyds Living announced that it had acquired 150 freehold properties being built at the 2,000-home Ladden Garden Village development in Bristol; the first development as part of the strategic partnership with Barratt Developments.

The investment includes 36 apartments, which are now complete, and 114 houses expected to be completed in phases from Q1 2023. The properties range from one-bedroom apartments up to four-bedroom homes.

Speaking at the time of the announcement Andy Hutchinson, Chief Executive Officer at Lloyds Living, said: “Since launch in July 2021, we have been clear: Lloyds Living will start small and focus on incrementally growing a portfolio of quality, modern rental properties. Ladden Garden Village is our second investment and represents a very positive first step in the partnership between Lloyds Living and Barratt Developments.

“It reflects the type of properties we want to offer: affordable, good quality and with great amenities. This initial arrangement has helped accelerate the development of Ladden Garden Village, which is brilliant news for all home tenures be they owner occupier or rental.

“We’re very much looking forward to watching the progress at Ladden Garden Village and working with Barratt on other potential opportunities.”

David Thomas, chief executive of Barratt Developments, added: “We are pleased to be working with Lloyds Living at our Ladden Garden Village development in Bristol. This is the first transaction of our strategic partnership with Lloyds Living, together delivering 150 high-quality homes for affordable rent, helping families and building new communities.

“It is positive to be growing new housing stock for rent and as the UK’s largest housebuilder we will continue to work with Lloyds Living to look at new opportunities around the country.”
