Winnycroft development to create 150 new homes in the South West
We’re pleased to announce the acquisition of 156 new single-family homes as part of our ongoing strategic partnership with national housebuilder Barratt.
The mix of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom properties are part of Barratt’s Winnycroft Lane scheme in the Gloucester suburb of Matson, and we expect to be able to welcome our first customers in just a few short months.
The Winnycroft homes – located just 3.5 miles to the south of Gloucester – are part of a wider housing development which has planning permission for up to 420 homes. The new residential neighbourhood will also benefit from the delivery of a new communal building, as well as shared open spaces and landscaping.
Living in close proximity to the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, our customers will have access to both the countryside and the bustle of Gloucester city centre, with its shops, restaurants, independent retailers, several large supermarkets, and Gloucester Quays shopping outlet.
The site is close to the M5 and Gloucester railway station, which provides direct services to Bristol and London stations.
Since announcing our partnership with Barratt in 2021, we’ve added more than 1,500 high-quality homes to the market across schemes spanning Bedfordshire, Northumberland, Lancashire and the South West.
Andy Hutchinson, Chief Executive Officer of Lloyds Living, said:
“Gloucestershire continues to be an attractive location, in no small part thanks to the growing knowledge economy, transport links and access to both country and city living. Following a decade of growth and investment, it’s the perfect place for families to put down roots. Our long-standing partnership with Barratt has created a significant portfolio of high-quality homes – growing communities and delivering homes in places where people want to live. We look forward to welcoming our first customers to Winnycroft as we reach this latest milestone in the partnership which will pave the way for more new schemes in future.”
